Grimtory
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Grimtory iOS and iPadOS app and this web page.
2. Information the app handles
- Child's name (or nickname) and birthday: used to show their age on each drawing.
- Drawing photos and dates: used to build the gallery and portfolio PDF. Location and device metadata are removed before saving.
- App settings such as theme.
- Support requests: if you email us, we use your email address and message to reply and fix problems.
Except for support requests, all of this stays on your device; the developer cannot receive or see it. Grimtory has no accounts and uses no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, and no developer-operated server.
3. Permissions
- Camera: used only to photograph paper drawings (the standard iOS camera screen).
- Photos: the iOS photo picker gives the app only the photos you choose. Full library access is not requested. Only if you turn on "Also Save Photos to Photos App" in Settings (off by default) does the app ask for add-only access, to add the photos you take to the Photos app. This access cannot read your library.
4. Information that leaves your device and third-party services
- Sharing a portfolio: only when you tap Share, to the app or person you choose.
- Exporting drawings: "Export All Drawings" in Settings creates a ZIP file with a folder for each child, sent only where you choose (Files, AirDrop and so on).
- Feedback email: "Send Feedback" drafts an email in your mail app. Nothing is sent until you tap Send. It includes the app version, iOS version, device model and app language — never drawings or your child's details. Support email may be processed by Google's email service (Google Privacy Policy).
- This web page is served by Cloudflare Workers with no cookies, ads or visitor analytics. Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the page (Cloudflare Privacy Policy).
5. Retention and deletion
- On-device information remains until you delete it in the app or delete the app. It may be included in device backups (such as iCloud Backup), which follow your Apple account and device settings.
- Support requests are kept as long as needed to respond and are deleted afterwards unless the law requires otherwise.
6. Your choices
Delete drawings in the app or delete the app to remove on-device information. To access, correct or delete a support request, email jjerry.support@gmail.com.
7. Children's privacy
Grimtory is used by parents and guardians. Children's details are entered by the parent and never leave the device. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age.
8. Changes
If the app's data practices change, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date above.
